Fairer Game campaign

In 2018, Betfair launched the Fairer Game campaign which aimed to promote better training and coaching opportunities for female coaches in football. The campaign saw Betfair fund 50 female coaches to undergo their UEFA B licences and was fronted by former Arsenal and England ace Rachel Yankey, who offered advice and support to the selected coaches throughout. Only 29 women held the UEFA A licence in England at the time compared to 1,481 men – and it was time to make a change. The campaign was featured in national press and celebrated by UK politicians resulting in an invitation to the House of Commons to celebrate its success.
